Generational Holiday Entertaining by Gen Z & Millennial Actresses

Fasten your brie-t belts! This holiday season, the generations are going head-to-head on holiday entertaining with the ultimate charcuterie showdown.

From years of poking fun at each other about skinny jeans, side parts, emojis and the size of your text font, it’s not surprising the generations all have a very different take on entertaining too.

So, what do you get when you ask a Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X and a Boomer to ‘show-off their holiday charcuterie?’ Everything across the board.

GEN Z (@loganfabbro): Best known for her role on The Next Step for six years, Logan knows her generation moves on from one obsession to the next in record time, so she makes three different boards when she entertains! And because Gen Z’s are renowned for having the shortest attention spans – she ensures each board is ready in less than 10 minutes. Her end result: An air-fried brie Tik Tok hack, a twist on the viral butter board using Velvet Blue, the perfect entry level blue cheese for a generation still developing a palate for stronger flavours – and she finishes with a minimalist board since her generation is artsy, but not showy, featuring classic and premium aged cheeses like Havarti, Gouda, and Cheddar – ready in just five minutes!

MILLENNIAL (@avaahblackwell): Avaah is a Canadian stunt woman and actress on Star Trek Discovery and like her generation, she’s all about the show. Since they’re all very collaborative too, Avaah connected with her friends first to create an Insta-Worthy Board with something for everyone. She used her favourite specialty cheeses by Castello to carve Havarti Party trees, cut star shapes out of brie to fill with jam, and turned the Taste Hawaii and Taste Mexico cream cheese rings into holiday wreaths. A true masterpiece!

GEN X (@cinqfourchettes): Nancy is a well-known foodie who knows her generation is adaptable and inventive. They saw the Internet coming and found ways to stay relevant which is evident in Nancy’s creative approach to charcuterie. Che created Char-coup-erie…cheeseboard in a coupe glass! Or Charcu-tini if you prefer to use a martini glass. Each glass has different variations, and with individual servings, it’s COVID friendly too. Nancy featured Castello’s famous Danish blue and cleverly paired it with sweet fruits and bagels for the perfect bite-sized pairings. She even crumbled cheese at the bottom to create the vibe of a crumb crust.

BOOMER (@alabouroflife): Linda is a fun-loving Boomer who knows her generation tends to be crafty and loves spending time with grand-children so she crafted a cheeseboard for the young and old, complete with a Santa made from Brie and Havarti and a Tickler to tickle everyone’s taste-buds.
