Artisan Distillers Canada (ADC) Announces First-Of-Its-Kind Conference & Trade Show

Distillers and industry professionals are invited to participate in ADC’s first conference and trade show, October 24 and 25 at the Vancouver Convention Centre

Artisan Distillers Canada (ADC) is thrilled to announce its first in-person conference and trade show for Canada’s growing artisan distilling industry. The event will feature experts from across Canada and the US sharing their knowledge on a range of technical and business topics relevant to the Canadian distilling community.

“I’ve long believed an event like this is an important step in the maturation of the distilling industry in Canada,” says ADC director Alex Hamer. “It’s important for distillers and industry professionals to get together, build connections in their community, and participate in learning opportunities relevant to them.”

The ADC Conference & Trade show will host in-depth workshops on Monday, October 24, followed by seminars and a trade show on Tuesday, October 25. Topics covered will include workshops on building a whisky-blending program, understanding yeasts and grains, as well as seminars on distillery build-outs, retail sales, exports, and more. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with top suppliers and service providers in the ADC trade area.

In addition, ADC is offering a limited number of bursaries to support attendance from communities that are generally under-represented in the distilling industry. Women and members of the BIPOC community are encouraged to apply at conference.artisandistillers.ca/bursary.

The conference keynote will be presented by Charlene Rooke. Charlene is the Drinks Editor of Food & Drink, the in-store magazine of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, as well as a contributor to publications including Taste, The Alchemist and more. She is the Lead Judge for the Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition (CASC) and Academy Chair for Western Canada for The World’s 50 Best Bars.
