A few exciting details to share from Gastown’s L’Abattoir…

Our talented bar team have been recognized on Canada’s 50 Best Bars list which was released earlier this week alongside Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, where L’Abattoir also earned a spot. The country’s best bars and restaurants are judged by some of Canada’s most recognized industry professionals and media with both lists eagerly anticipated each year. To celebrate this recognition, Bar Manager, Dave Bulters is sharing the recipe for one of our seasonal favourites, his Kumquat Collins. We’re beyond excited to roll out our Cuvée L’Abattoir Blanc by Le Vieux Pin. This complex and delicious white wine was collaboratively blended by our Sommelier team alongside Severine Pinte, Winemaker at Le Vieux Pin exclusively for L’Abattoir. A blend of Roussanne, Viognier and Marsanne, this beautiful wine has notes of orchard fruit and rose petals with refreshing acidity and a long finish. This inaugural release comes one year after the release of our Cuvée L’Abattoir, a Syrah blend created by the same team. You’ll find both of these limited editions exclusively on our wine list this summer. Don’t wait to try them, last year’s Syrah sold out after a few short months!
