YEW’s three-course Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24, 2019 will be one to remember with butter-poached lobster, roasted duck breast and short rib pappardelle mains to choose from, priced at CAD 110 for adults (CAD 55 for kids).

The epic Christmas Day Brunch Buffet returns on December 25, 2019, and guests can dive into a decadent spread of pastries, seafood raw bar, carvery station, seasonal sweets and more savoury surprises for CAD 105 for adults (CAD 50 for kids). Later on, diners can savour in holiday classics such as chestnut stuffed turkey or a bounty of seafood options for a three-course Christmas Day Dinner, priced at CAD 115 for adults (CAD 55 for kids).

Whether it’s a family affair or a date night with dancing, YEW has several New Year’s options for guests to enjoy on December 31, 2019.

Diners at the Early New Year’s Eve Dinner can begin their four-course meal with a glass of sparkling wine before moving on to decadent dishes such as sea urchin risotto with scallops for CAD 100 per adult. Children can dine for CAD 50, which includes a special hot chocolate, poured tableside. Groups of 12 or more adult guests for this early seating may also be eligible to receive complimentary dinner for children under five and valet for two cars. Cheerful Cocktails at YEW

This holiday season, guests can pull up a seat by the fire and enjoy festive cocktails in YEW’s lounge. The iconic Cog Nog served in a picture-perfect moose mug is making a comeback along with the sparkling Starry Night cocktail and warm winter favourites such as hot buttered rum and holiday gluvine. These seasonal sippers are available from November 15, 2019 until New Year’s Eve.

Starry Night – Sweet meets a surprising and warming new match – a herbaceous bitter when sparkling wine fizzles with Campari in this refreshing cocktail.

Gluvine – This house-made version of the German classic is full of those warm festive spices that we all crave this time of year.

YEW Hot Buttered Rum – Heat things up with YEW’s luxurious Hot Buttered Rum. We’re making spirits brighter with rum, buttered compound, angostura bitters, pimento honey syrup and a tasty gingerbread cookie.

Cog Nog – Our whimsical Cog Nog is a moose-have drink this season. Spiked with cognac, YEW’s house-made eggnog is served in a nostalgic moose mug to instantly amp up your holiday spirit.

Legendary Christmas Stollen Returns

For the final year, former Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver Chef Gerhard Weitzel will come out of retirement to bake his decades-old secret stollen recipe this holiday season. This famous German cake, rich with spices and flavours, makes a delicious and thoughtful holiday gift.

The recipe originated with former Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver chef, Gerhard Weitzel. In 2007, Gerhard retired, after 16 years of working for the hotel and a 50 year career dedicated to pastry. Since his retirement Gerhard has returned seasonally to create each loaf himself, much to the delight of guests and Vancouver locals. The white loaf is made of a yeast dough brimming with a mixture of nuts and fruits and a delicious marzipan filling. The holiday aroma and flavour of Gerhard’s stollen is set to accompany festive cheer throughout the city this season.

Stollen will be available for purchase at YEW seafood + bar for CAD 31 per loaf from November 26, 2019 until Christmas Day. Stollen lovers can also call 604.692.4939 to place orders of four or more.
