TEA IN THE WINDOW RETURNS TO FAIRMONT HOTEL VANCOUVER
FOR SUMMER SEASON
-Eye-catching afternoon tea returns on Georgia Street in time for
International Tea Day, Tuesday, May 21-
Vancouver’s iconic ‘Castle in the City’, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will debut the return of Tea in the Window in time for International Tea Day on Tuesday, May 21.
The unique tea setting will be available Monday through Friday beginning on International Tea Day, Tuesday, May 21 with daily seatings at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This exclusive table for two will be available throughout the summer and gives guests a unique opportunity to see the charm of the city from a different perspective, while enjoying a spot of tea in an untraditional setting.
Tea goers will be surrounded by a custom art created by New-York based Meredith Wing of @Moomooi. The inspiring and colourful canopies of Cherry Blossom trees drew the idea of an exterior scene inside an interior – a kind of blossoming fantasy world for passersby to stop and peer into. When tea is not in session, Moomooi’s signature fashion illustration flare will take centre stage as two original life-size ‘Flower Girl’ paper doll figurines will be on display in the window.
After checking in at the host stand outside of Notch8 Restaurant, the experience starts with guests being whisked up the grand staircase to enter the unique venue for two. Service begins with guests selecting their preferred choice of LOT 35 Tea to sip on, while the culinary experience commences with a unique twist on the traditional Afternoon Tea.
Available for $120.00 CAD per person (excluding taxes and gratuity), reservations for Tea in the Window are now open to the public and can be made online. Included in the experience, guests will enjoy a collection of spirit-free cocktails, as well as an invitation to return to the hotel’s signature restaurant, Notch8 for a complimentary glass of bubbles or a cocktail of their choice.
