AND THE CHANCE TO WIN A TRIP TO ITALY

Experience la dolce vita right here in Vancouver

Estate come un Italiano! Kitchen Table Restaurants is welcoming summer’s balmy rays with the third annual Summer Like An Italian campaign. Starting July 23, and running until September 21, the festivities are inspired by il dolce far niente, and beloved Italian traditions of fêting and feasting with loved ones.

With an expanded roster of 12 restaurants, Summer Like An Italian invites locals and visitors to pick up a passport and journey through the flavours and rituals of Italy – right here in Vancouver. This year’s participating restaurants include Ask for Luigi, Bacaro, Carlino, Di Beppe, Farina a Legna, Giovane Caffè (West Cordova and West Georgia Street locations), Mercato di Luigi – (East 12th Avenue and East Georgia Street (coming soon) locations), MONZO, Motoretta, Pizzeria Farina, Pourhouse and Caffè Super Veloce.

After picking up a passport from any participating Kitchen Table Restaurants, it’s time to dine! You’ll earn a passport stamp when you pay your bill (no minimum spend required). Submit your completed passport at any participating restaurant by September 30, and you’ll be in the running to win great prizes, including:

  • Trip for two to Milan, Italy in partnership with Campari (12 stamps required)
  • Overnight stay for two at Shangri-La Vancouver with $250 gift card to Carlino (10 stamps required)
  • $500 gift card to Kitchen Table Restaurants (8 stamps required)

Complementing Summer Like An Italian are several new experiences to keep you entertained at Kitchen Table Restaurants all season long. New this year, the campaign has introduced special Summer Like An Italian menu items, including the drink of the summer – Campari soda. Diners will also receive a coupon (included in the Summer Like An Italian passport) to redeem at Cantina di Luigi, Kitchen Table’s newest restaurant concept, which is housed in the new Mercato di Luigi in Chinatown (opening this summer at 213 East Georgia Street). The intimate eatery offers a wine-focused spin on Kitchen Table’s popular Ask for Luigi.

New restaurants participating in this year’s Summer Like An Italian passport program are Gastown cocktail bar Pourhouse and Vancouver’s “burger utopia,” MONZO. At Pourhouse, diners can soak in the sun on the restaurant’s charming new patio, opening this July and running through August. Or, channel the Italian Paninaro – a subculture born in the early 1980s in Milan – at MONZO, where top-quality smash burgers and American classics are served alongside contemporary interiors and a vibe that encourages you to linger.

Kitchen Table Restaurants is committed to creating unforgettable experiences – each restaurant has a unique personality and compelling story that translates through our food and hospitality. Spend this summer indulging in la dolce vita right in your backyard, where a leisurely pace feeds into pure enjoyment of good food and drinks with even better company.

Summer Like An Italian is free and open to Vancouver locals and visitors alike. Pick up your passport at any participating restaurant, use it as your guide, and earn stamps from July 23 through September 21, 2024.
